Lenoir

In 2007, Google began construction of a data center complex in Lenoir, North Carolina. Since then, we’ve invested more than $1.2 billion in the facility and have made a long-term commitment to the region and state. Our employees at the Lenoir and Caldwell County data center work to keep Google Search, Gmail, YouTube, and many other Google applications operational, enabling Google to provide fast and reliable services around the clock to millions of people.

Google in the Community

Lenoir is our home and we’re committed to playing a positive role in the communities in which we live and work. Since 2009, we've invested in several green initiatives, including a collaboration with Duke University and Duke Energy to turn hog waste at a Yadkin County farm into renewable energy. We also support educational initiatives in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through grants, events, and programs.
